National Cyclocross Development Squad Unveil Sponsor Support

Cycling Ireland Cyclocross Coordinator Andy Layhe has announced a new partnership package aimed at helping Ireland’s junior and U23 cyclocross riders at high profile events. As part of the partnership KASK will supply their Protone helmets to selected riders from the Irish National Cyclocross Development squad who participate in World Cups, World Championships and selected UK National Trophy events.

A spokesman for the leading helmet manufacturer said, “KASK is pleased to be supporting the promising young Irish national team riders for the 2018 season and the forthcoming Hoogerheide World Cup and 2018 World Cyclocross Championships.”

Innovative bicycle lubricant and cleaning product manufacturer Juice Lubes will also be providing product to the squad at UCI World Cups and World Championship events. Juice Lubes owner Jamie Edwards said, “We're over the moon to support Cycling Ireland's young cyclocross team riders. We love ‘cross racing and we love helping racers go fast in the mud and chase race wins. We're excited to see them running Juice Lubes products and wish them the best of luck for the season'.

“Due to the extreme conditions faced in cyclocross, it’s vitally important bikes are maintained to the highest standard with the best cleaners and lubricants so Juice Lubes was the  perfect partner.”

Cycling Ireland Cyclocross Coordinator Andy Layhe said, “In line with our development of cyclocross riders, particularly at junior and U23 level, we are delighted companies such as KASK and Juice Lubes are coming on board to help further enhance our riders to a more professional standard whilst also showing a commitment to our developing riders.”

Several of the 2018 World Cyclocross Championship squad will compete using KASK helmets, along with with Juice Lubes lubricants, cleaners and maintenance products.
