We have received a huge response to our call for Marshals for the upcoming Giro d'Italia, with the numbers rising by the minute. Those who wish to marshal at the Giro
MUST attend training. However, if you cannot attend any of the training days listed below, we will be offering an abridged version of the training course in the hub on the morning of the event. If this is the case, please contact Gary McNulty to advise that this is the case.

 GARY MCNULTY.

Note that you don't have to be a Cycling Ireland member to be a marshal.

Please note the updated venues and times below:

Even if you haven't filled in the form, you can just turn up at the venue of your choice.

WEDNESDAY 7th May
Dublin Civil Defence HQ, The Esplanade, Wolfe Tone Quay, Dublin 7 (7pm)

THURSDAY 8th May
Dublin Civil Defence HQ, The Esplanade, Wolfe Tone Quay, Dublin 7 (7pm)

FRIDAY 9th May
Dublin Civil Defence HQ, The Esplanade, Wolfe Tone Quay, Dublin 7 (7pm)

SUNDAY 11th May
There will be mini Giro Marshal Training on the day for those who have not completed the training days - be there at 9am sharp to do this course.

Once you have received the full training day you will become an official Cycling Ireland Marshal, and this accreditation will be seen on your future licences. Note that this only counts for those who complete the full training day.

The training day will also include details about other marshalling opportunities that will be available to you, like at the European Marathon MTB Championships in June, and the Cycling Ireland Bike Fest.

While the marshalling in Northern Ireland has been coordinated by Volunteer Now, Cycling Ireland has agreed to coordinate the marshals for the Republic of Ireland leg of stage 3, and we are working closely with various groups like Volunteer Now, Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Fáilte Ireland, Garda Siochana, Civil Defence and Local Authorities to ensure that the training day will be enjoyable and informative.

We hope you enjoy the training day, and look forward to seeing you at it.

If you have any further queries you can send an email to Volunteer Coordinator Gary McNulty HERE
