Girl's Training Camp - Half Term

Girl's Training Camp - Half Term

The first of two junior training camps this summer will take place during the half term break, from 17th to 19th February. The format will be similar to last July’s hugely successful training camp at Kippure. During the day participants will try three different cycling disciplines; road biking, mountain biking and track racing. In the evening they will learn about some of the vital skills that will help support them as they develop as cyclist, skills such as training advice, nutrition & strength & flexibility training. The camp will be subsidised by the Women’s Commission of Cycling Ireland and as a result it will cost just €100 per person!

Organising the camp will the Junior Talent Team’s Head Coach Orla Hendron ” The purpose of the camp will be to give the girls exposure to a number of different cycling disciplines and to learn more about taking a balanced approach to cycling training. What’s more they’ll benefit from doing this in an environment with their peers.”
