Giant’s Causeway Coast Sportive Returns in June 2019 with New 60 Mile Route
12/03/2019
Returning to the north coast of Ireland for its 9th year, the Giant’s Causeway Coast Sportive, in association with Decathlon Belfast, is set to make its arrival to the small coastal town of Ballycastle in Northern Ireland earlier next year, with the event now taking place on Saturday 22nd June instead of September.
The date is not the only aspect changing for 2019, as the organisers are also introducing a fourth route. In addition to the 35, 85 and 115 mile route choices, there will also be a 60-mile route. This new route is ideal for cyclists wanting to take on a more challenging route than the 35-mile option.
It also encompasses some of the best sections of the 35 mile and 85-mile routes, including the Causeway Coast, Dark Hedges and Bushmills, as well as the magical Glens of Antrim, Cushendun and the epic Torr head.
With over 1,000 cyclists taking part every year from all over NI, Ireland, GB and further afield, this event has become a key event in the Irish cycling calendar.
