Dromara CC Open Road Races 12/06/10
The Emma McMullan Trophy is the feature event of the day for the A1/2/3 riders. There will also be a Women's Only event as Dromara host the latest round in the Ulster Women's Association Road Race League. A4 riders will be in action in the Ronnie Smyth Trophy.
Race Route
The race route of Hillsborough - Annahilt - Ballycrune - Annahilt, will ensure a fast open race with little in the way of climbs to break up the rhythm (
route map).
Race Distance
The A race (A1s, A2s, A3s) will be 102 km / 63.4 miles, starting in Hillsborough then heading to Annahilt for 7 laps of the 14 km circuit. The finish will be on the Glebe Road, Annahilt.
The B race (A4s) will be 5 laps of the Annahilt triangle circuit (14 km / 8.7 miles) = 70 km / 43.5 miles
The Women's Race will be 3 laps of the Annahilt triangle circuit (14 km / 8.7 miles) = 42 km / 26.1 miles
Race Headquarters
Race headquarters will be at Hillsborough Village Centre / Primary School, on the Ballynahinch Road, Hillsborough.
Changing and showering facilities will be available at the Village Centre with refreshments and sandwiches for all after the race.
Race start times and locations
A race (A1s, A2s and A3s) will commence at 12 pm from the Hillsborough Village Centre
B race (A4s) will start at approximately 12:25 from Glebe Road, Annahilt
Women's race will start at approximately 12:45 from Glebe Road, Annahilt
Sign-on
Sign-on will open at 10.30 am. Fee £10 (€10) - pay on the day.
Note: Both the A and B race will have a restriction of 60 riders. A reserve list will be in place

Noel Teggart Memorial Road Races 13/06/10
Banbridge CC who have recently launched their
'Introductory to Cycling' initiative are to the fore again this weekend when they promote the annual Noel Teggart Memorial Road Races on Sunday. Sign-on is at Havelock Park on the Lurgan Road, Banbridge from 10.15-11.45 and racing will commence at 12 noon.
The 'A' race will be for the Noel Teggart Memorial Trophy and will take place over 80 miles for A1/A2. The 'B' race will be 57 miles for A3 and the 'C' race will be 45 miles for A4. If any of the races are oversubscribed (above the 60 rider limit) then a rider will be offered a place in one of the other races.
It is also the third round of the David McCall Ulster Youth League, with racing for U12, U14, and U16 on offer.
