2009 Ulster Road Race Champion, Thomas Martin took victory in his first outing while riding for his new team, Eurocycles at Annaclone on Saturday. Second place went to another Ulster rider who is riding for a Dublin based team, Ryan Connor of Usher IRC.

Irish U18 international from 2009, Jonny Cole took third place, ahead of first year junior, Nathan McLeer (Curran Racing). In the support race for A4 riders, it was Terry Mackin of Banbridge who took the honours.

On Sunday the action moved to Crumlin for the Phoenix GP. The Belfast club promoted three races. After dissolving in the the 1990's, Ballymoney CC got their renaissance off to a flying start when Bobby Kane took the verdict in a bunch sprint ahead of Paul Mulligan (Eurocycles). The 'B' race for A3/4 riders was won by former international, Gary Wilson (East Antrim - Audi CC), again in a bunch gallop. Barry Russel (Carn Wheelers) and Andrew McGibbon (Apollo) filled the other podium spots.

The opening round of the Ulster Women's Association League, promoted over 24 miles was won by Lurgan rider, Ciara Mulholland (Clann Éireann). Mary Boyd (Roe Valley) narrowly took second ahead of the promoting club's Tonya Moran.
