David McCall Foundation Youth 'Fun Day' a Huge Success

10/05/2010
The Cycling Ulster Youth Commission 'Fun Day' at Craigavon Ski & Golf Centre proved to be a huge success with Youth cyclists from across the province at the weekend.

The event was the brain child of Mickey McKenna and Kenny Dunlop who have been at the fore front of Youth cycling in Ulster and nationally for over a decade. It was a great opportunity for Youth cyclists who share an interest in the sport to come together in a non competitive environment and get to know eachother, something they rarely get the chance to do. Activities included banana boating and orienteering. Mickey McKenna also announced the planned programme of events that Ulster Youth riders will target for the rest of 2010. The day would not have been possible without the support of the David McCall Foundation. It is great to see that Davey's passion for cycling continues to live on in today's Ulster Youth, a great day was had by all!
