Maryland Wheelers and the David McCall Foundation are hosting a tandem only event on the 4th June 2011. This has been rescheduled from its original date on 18th June. This is a unique event which is suitable for all tandem pairs, though specially designed to allow blind and partially sighted people the chance to experience tandem cycling.

We are looking for
-Experienced cyclists to volunteer as Tandem pilots -training and Tandems can be supplied.
-Loan of tandems for the training sessions and the event itself.
-Blind and partially sighted people to take part in one of the three events.

Island Wheelers will be promoting their Tour of Tyrone Sportive on Sunday 5th June 2011 starting out from the Gorgonis Centre in Coalisland. The event will start at 9am start with sign-on from 8am. Island Wheelers racing events have a high national profile and are highly regarded – and their Sportives follow in that tradition and will be a fantastic days enjoyment for all taking part!

There is a choice of two testing routes, fantastic scenery, great company and a day to remember around beautiful Tyrone landmarks!

Sign on from 8AM at the Gortgonis Sports Centre – groups will begin leaving approx 9am
