October 30th 2011; This bank holiday weekend will see masses of keen bikers will descent upon Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails for the Ballyhoura Spook, Halloween Mountain Bike Stage Race. The event takes place over two stages, a 30km day time cross country race during the day and a 6km night sprint.
The event is being promoted by biking.ie and headed by Niall Davis, a highly decorated international competitor. Davis says “The bikers have a lot more to be worried about than the just the trail itself, they have to survive close encounters with devilish demons and creatures from this world and the next! It’s going to be great fun.”
The event is expected to attract large numbers of competitors and spectators from around the country and will tie in to local Halloween Festivities.
