Track Cycling in Ireland
With the recent high performance emphasis on track cycling, and the huge success of our GB neighbours in the Beijing Olympics in track cycling, this discipline has seen a huge surge in interest over the past few years.
On the domestic front Ireland has two outdoor tracks (Sundrive in Dublin, and Orangefield in Belfast). Both of these run training and competitive events throughout the year. While we don't (yet) have an indoor Velodrome, track cycling is attracting a lot of attention in Ireland in recent years.
