Cycling Ireland has today published its revised Olympic Criteria for the London Games. The selection criteria details of selection process can be found in the following document:

Ireland has currently qualified three male places for the Road Race and one for the Time Trial and is hoping to secure further slots for the Track, BMX and a female road race & time trial entry. The full allocations will be known at the end of May.
The Olympic team manager is Martin O’Loughlin. O’Loughlin has previously fulfilled the role in the Athens 2004 Olympics where Cycling enjoyed the best ever road performance with Ciaran Power finishing 13th. He is an former Irish International and more recently a Veteran Road Race Champion.
The Olympic Selection Panel consists of An Post Ras organiser Dermot Dignam, UCI International Commissaire Paul Watson & a lecture in Sport and Exercise Physiology at DCU Dr Giles Warrington. Geoff Liffey, CEO of Cycling Ireland, will act as Chairperson of the Olympic Selection Panel.
