European Junior and U23 Road Championships 12-17 July 2011, Offida, Italy

The Irish Junior and U23 team for the 2011 European Junior and U23 Road Championships will compete in the road race and time trial events across the U23 men, Junior men's and Junior women's categories. Neil Martin will manage this team in Italy.

The selected U23 riders showed well in the recent National Elite and U23 Road and TT Championships in Emyvale; and it is likely Downey, English and Dunne will contest the TT with Bennett and Lavery joining forces to make a 5 strong team for the road race. The Junior men's team is greatly reduced due to a clash of dates with the Junior Tour of Ireland. However, prolific UK Junior winner, Mullen will focus on the time trial in Italy, while Ciara Mulholland makes her debut at this level in the junior women's road and time trial.
